Book early

Saga have discounted cabins to sell to the first buyers of each cruise. This deal begins at 35% and reduces as more cabins are sold. It is therefore advisable to book as early as possible. Saga also have an advance registration list and customers on this list will get first access.

No Need to Fly

Saga are the only cruise company to sail from the UK throughout the whole year. Whilst most other companies move their fleet to warmer climes during the British winter, you can catch the sun beginning in Dover or Southampton at any time of the year with Saga, which removes the cost of flying from your budgeting. 

Room location

If you're content not to pick your own room, you can save money by making a booking and only choosing the class of room. Saga will then assign your cabin to you and you will be informed once you embark.

Britannia Club

Once you've spent over 35 nights onboard a Saga cruise, you will automatically become part of the Britannia Club. Your status will increase with additional nights and when you book your next cruise, you will receive special discounts. You will also gain a number of special benefits as you increase your membership, such as priority boarding and chauffer service.

Solo travelling 

A large proportion of the cabins on Saga ships are for solo occupancy. It's therefore a great option for those looking to holiday by themselves. This removes any surcharges for a double room, making it much more cost effective and once you're onboard, there are many events tailored to solo travellers. 

Balconies for all

All rooms onboard Saga ships have a balcony, so everyone can soak up the sea air in the comfort of their own space. Even the solo rooms have this key feature, meaning no one misses out. 

Impressive Inclusions

Included in your fare, there are a number of extras that usually have to be paid for separately. All food and drink is included - this includes main and speciality dining, room service and alcohol. Gratuities for service are also paid for. In addition, shuttle buses into ports and WiFi are covered. Be sure to keep this in mind when comparing cruise lines as with other companies, buying all the packages to get the same deal can be significantly more expensive. 

Door to Door Service

An excellent service that Saga offers is their door to door transfers. They will collect you from any UK address and take you to the port, repeating this when you're ready to head back home. For those cruisers who do not have easy access to public transport, this can be a very convenient way to travel to the ship, without the hassle of parking, and the cost is reasonable considering the brilliant service. 

Insurance added

Another inclusion that can be added to the fare is travel insurance. This can be a costly addition, especially for the Saga market of over 50s, and so to have it taken care of for you is a great bonus and one less thing to plan.
