Before you dive into booking, check out our top ten tips to help you get the most magic for your money.
Best to book early
Unlike most cruise lines who routinely offer discounted prices, Disney rarely have sales and prices will usually increase as cabins become limited. It's therefore advisable to book a Disney cruise soon after it's released for the best deal.
Last minute restricted fares
Having said that, there are deals to be found if you're happy to book just a few months before departure. These sales don't always go ahead as the boats are often booked out and if they do, cabins at these prices are quickly snapped up, but it can work out far cheaper if you're lucky enough to get a last minute deal.

Fully refundable
It's good to know that Disney Cruises are fully refundable up to the date of your final payment. With most cruises, this is 90 days before departure. If your aiming for a cruise in the next year or two, it would be advisable to book at the lowest rate, with the possibility of cancelling later if necessary.
Go for a theme
We highly recommend booking a themed cruise, whether that be during the holidays (both Halloween and Christmas are spectacular) or one of Disney’s itineraries dedicated to Pixar or Marvel. These are highly unique holidays for fans and really bring the magic alive!

Choosing the perfect cabin
Disney rank their cabins by the numbers 1-11, with 1 being the most expensive. Numbers 1-3 are concierge rooms with perks including access to an exclusive lounge, booking priority for restaurants and excursions, as well as priority boarding. You can skip the queues with concierge on hand to make your holiday wishes come true. The rooms, however, are not vastly different from veranda rooms, but do cost significantly more for all the privileges stated above. Veranda rooms are numbered 4-7 and you'll get a private balcony (the higher numbers are slightly smaller and often with restricted views). Categories 8 and 9 have portholes whilst 10 and 11 are inside rooms. Each numbered stateroom then has a letter which informs you of location, ‘A’ being the most desirable.

Room roulette
If you're not concerned where your cabin is located, let Disney choose for you for a significant discount. You decide upon the number and they'll sort the letter. This can reduce your fare by up to a quarter. Another handy tip and additional reason to book early, is that Disney are known to upgrade some of the first booked cabins in order to free up higher numbers. They do this if interior/outside rooms are proving popular with bookers. What a great surprise that would be as you arrive in port.
Castaway Club
If you've previously sailed with Disney, you'll have a membership to the Castaway Club. This will allow you to book excursions, speciality dining and more in advance, with the number of days correlating with the amount of previous cruises you've taken. The top Castaway membership is given to those who have sailed on ten Disney Cruises so that's definitely something to aim for.
Delicious dining included
It can be tiresome eating in the same seat each night, which is often how the standard food packages on cruise lines operate. This isn't the case with Disney. Within your package, you will get ‘Rotational Dining’. This means that you'll dine in a different restaurant each evening, but with the same servers and time schedules. It's such a great treat to have a new dining experience and menu to enjoy each night of the week and courses are unlimited, so you can really indulge those taste buds after a busy day cruising!

Not had enough of Mickey?
The cheapest way to book your next Disney Cruise is to do so onboard. You will receive 10% off and only need to place a 10% deposit. Even if you're not sure where or when you wish to travel next, you can book a ‘Placeholder’ cruise, which will allow to to choose later on with the same benefits. Hakuna Matata!
